What is TMS Therapy?

It is a machine that uses precisely targeted magnetic pulses similar to those used in MRIs.  It stimulates key areas of the brain that are underactive in patients with depression.  There are studies that support the possible use of TMS for other disorders.

*One benefit is that it is conducted right in the doctor’s office

*Patients are awake and alert during treatment

*Patients can go back to their normal activities immediately after treatment

*In-office treatment takes 20 minutes
